Bridger Institute

Located in Northwest Montana, near Glacier National Park, Bridger Institute's wilderness guide school is renowned as one of the most comprehensive guide programs in the nation. We conduct a four-week training course, led by industry experts, covering a variety of unique topics and skills that aren't offered at other guide schools. Well beyond standard wilderness guides' curricula, our program also encompasses skills such as Wilderness First Aid, reloading ammunition, arrow-making and repair, aerial and popup targets, fly tying, and trapping. We also cover all the traditional guide school topics, including horsemanship, horse & mule packing, hunting techniques, game care, fishing techniques, scoring big game, and wilderness survival. Through these training, we ensure our students build a strong skill set in these critical areas.
